Hey there, awesome surfers and beach lovers! Ready for the latest scoop on the waves along the New York coast? Let's dive in!
Today at Kings (Brooklyn), we're looking at a moderate rip current risk, with surf heights around 4 feet. The weather's partly sunny with a chance of showers, so keep an eye out! Temperatures will be around 80 with a UV index in the moderate range. Plus, those southwest winds are going to kick up to around 15 mph, swinging west later on.
Moving on to Monday, the rip current risk drops to low, with smaller waves at around 3 feet. Expect sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s with a gentle breeze from the west.
Over in Southern Queens at Jacob Riis Park and Rockaway Beach, similar conditions are in store. Moderate rip current risk, 4-foot waves, and southwest winds making a westward turn later.
And don't forget about Southern Nassau with Atlantic Beach, Long Beach, Lido Beach, and Jones Beach - another moderate rip current risk, 4-foot surf, and temperatures in the upper 70s. Winds will be following the same southwest to west pattern.
Down at Southwestern Suffolk with Gilgo State Park and Robert Moses State Park, expect moderate conditions today, dropping to a low risk tomorrow. Again, watch out for those showers!
Last but not least, Southeastern Suffolk featuring Smith Point, Cupsogue Beach, Hither Hills State Park, and Ditch Plains. Moderate rip current risk today with 4-foot waves and a westward turn in the winds later on. Tomorrow looks calmer with a lower risk of rip currents.
Remember, always stay safe in the water, keep an eye on the lifeguards, and have a blast catching those waves! This has been a Quiet Please Studios audio creation with the help of AI. Please subscribe and never miss a Swell! Thank you for listening.
