Description
I managed to track down writer-director-producer (and my business partner), Robert Meyer Burnett, as he was shuttling things from his current home to his new home in Southern California. Today,...
show moreHe was moving "The Robservatory" which is a hallowed place for those of us who hang out in the Post-Geek Singularity. It's Rob's "Fortress of Solitude" so to speak, or as I call it, Rob's Rat's Nest. It's like what happens when you give a four year-old an Amex Gold Card and don't check up on him for a few years ... or decades.
It's awesome. LOL!
In the midst of the move, I managed to catch Rob on I-10 as he was shuttling back to Pasadena and we had a chance to talk about the "new" Robservatory (and possible names), Rob's interesting takes on THE NORSEMAN and MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS - both of which sound like great films.
We also talked about the new podcast series dropping in May: Batman Unburied and the possibilities that open up if you take genre fare and produce it as audio dramas. Hmmm, maybe there's a project idea in there. Who knows? :D
Check out Rob's recollections of the CBS Mystery Theater and his relatively disturbing obsession with a 1:12 model of Sharon Stone from BASIC INSTINCT (complete with her chair). It's all here in an double-length ROADTRIPPIN that's as tasty as a double-stack burger from 5 Guys or In-and-Out (take your pick).
I invite you to listen in on my weekday conversations with my friend and business partner, Robert Meyer Burnett, as we talk about the things we love: great movies, inspiring television programming, nostalgic genre entertainment, and pop culture.
