Nb: "Ingrid, du er tørst, ja?
En: "Ingrid, you are thirsty, right?"

Nb: " ropte Lars.
En: shouted Lars.

Nb: Koppene var tomme.
En: The cups were empty.

Nb: Han løp til huset.
En: He ran to the house.

Nb: Alle er i Bergen for å feire sankthans.
En: Everyone is in Bergen to celebrate Midsummer.

Nb: De er på en stor mark hvor folk spiller kubb.
En: They are on a large field where people play Kubb.

Nb: Ingrid, Lars og Maja er bestevenner.
En: Ingrid, Lars, and Maja are best friends.

Nb: De bor i Bergen.
En: They live in Bergen.

Nb: De elsker sankthans.
En: They love Midsummer.

Nb: "Kubb er gøy!
En: "Kubb is fun!"

Nb: " sier Ingrid.
En: says Ingrid.

Nb: "Men, det regner!
En: "But it's raining!"

Nb: " sier Lars.
En: says Lars.

Nb: "Det går bra," svarer Maja.
En: "It's okay," replies Maja.

Nb: Og de ler.
En: And they laugh.

En: He has drinks.

Nb: "Takk Lars!
En: "Thank you, Lars!"

Nb: " sier Ingrid og Maja.
En: say Ingrid and Maja.

Nb: Alle drikker og ler.
En: Everyone drinks and laughs.

Nb: Regnet er tungt, men de bryr seg ikke.
En: The rain is heavy, but they don't care.

Nb: De begynner å spille kubb.
En: They start playing Kubb.

Nb: "Jeg kaster først!
En: "I'll throw first!"

Nb: Og kubbet faller!
En: And the Kubb falls!

Nb: "Jeg vant!
En: "I won!"

En: she shouts.

Nb: Alle ler og klapper.
En: Everyone laughs and claps.

Nb: De spiller mer kubb.
En: They play more Kubb.

Nb: De ler.
En: They laugh.

Nb: De klapper.
En: They clap.

Nb: De er våte, men de bryr seg ikke.
En: They are wet, but they don't care.

Nb: De har det gøy.
En: They are having fun.

Nb: Så, blir det mørkt.
En: Then it gets dark.

Nb: "Vi må gå hjem," sier Lars.
En: "We should go home," says Lars.

Nb: Når det endelig er midnatt, sier de farvel.
En: When it's finally midnight, they say goodbye.

Nb: De går hjem i regnet.
En: They walk home in the rain.

Nb: De er våte.
En: They are wet.

Nb: Men de smiler.
En: But they smile.

Nb: De har hatt det gøy.
En: They had fun.

Nb: Og de vet at de vil se hverandre igjen neste sankthans.
En: And they know they will see each other again next Midsummer.
