Hey there folks! Welcome to your Coastal Waters Forecast for Florida, brought to you by the National Weather Service in Miami. It's time to dive in and see what Mother Nature has in store for us!

If you're out near Jupiter Inlet to Ocean Reef and from East Cape Sable to Bonita Beach, get ready for some generally gentle east-southeasterly winds hanging around through the weekend. Afternoon wind shifts towards the SW might mix things up a bit over the Gulf waters. Keep an eye out for scattered showers and thunderstorms cruising through the area each day, especially during the overnight and morning hours. Don't be surprised if winds and waves get a boost around any passing showers or storms.

Good news - no Gulf Stream hazards to watch out for at the moment. The Gulf Stream is hanging out in various spots, with the closest point being just a mile northeast of Fowey Rocks.

For those chilling around Jupiter Inlet to Deerfield Beach, it's a day with southeast winds at 5 to 10 knots. Seas will be gentle, less than 2 feet high. Expect a light chop in the Intracoastal waters. There's a slight chance of showers and maybe a rumble of thunder in the mix.

As the weekend rolls in, similar conditions persist with southeast winds and calm seas. The slight chance of showers and thunderstorms continues, especially at night and in the morning. Sunday could bring a slight uptick in activity later in the day.

Over in Lake Okeechobee, you can look forward to some light winds from the east and southeast, keeping those waters smooth. A chance of showers and thunderstorms is on the cards, especially in the afternoons.

And don't forget about Biscayne Bay, where you can expect east to southeast winds creating a light chop. Keep an eye out for showers and thunderstorms, especially during the afternoons.

Remember, for more detailed info, you can check us out at the link in the show notes. Stay safe out there, folks, and enjoy your time on the waters!
