This week is mental Health Awareness Week so we have a special episode dedicated to mental health. Presenters Peter and Charlie are joined by special guest presenter Emma Hart from Cornwall Partnership NHS Foundation trust as we talk with a variety of guests about mental health.
We hear from from service users Tom (0:52) and Kelly (14:06) who used some of our support services while struggling with their mental health.
(23:17) We hear from Consultant Darren Mackintosh about the perinatal care we offer to parents before and after pregnancy.
(40:16) Service user, Rosalind will be talking about how our talking therapies service, Young at Heart, helped her through a difficult time.
(55:16) And we hear from younger members of our community who talk about how the peer mentor programme supported them during their transition to secondary school.
Some of the support websites mentioned in this episode:
mandown-cornwall.co.uk

www.cornwallft.nhs.uk/talking-therapies
Tune in live to The RCHT Radio Show for new interviews every Tuesday from 12pm to 2pm! Listen on CHBN, broadcasting on 100.8 FM in the Truro area, or stream online at chbnradio.org. You can also catch us on the CHBN radio app or simply ask your smart speaker to play CHBN radio.
To all Royal Cornwall Hospitals NHS Trust staff: We welcome your stories and good news! If you have something to share or if there's a topic you'd like us to explore, please contact us at RCHT.Communication@nhs.net. We'd love to hear from you.
