Hey there, folks! Time to dive into the coastal waters forecast for East Central Florida brought to you by the National Weather Service in Melbourne. So, what's the scoop for our boaters and beach bums out there?
Today, expect some southerly winds around 5 knots, shifting to a southeast breeze later on. Seas will be riding at 2 to 3 feet, so get ready for a light chop on the intracoastal waters. There's a slight chance of showers in the morning, with a better shot at some showers and thunderstorms during the afternoon.
As we sail into Monday, southerly winds at 5 to 10 knots will take the stage, then switching to the southeast by afternoon. Seas will be between 2 to 3 feet, keeping things relatively smooth on the waterways. Pack that umbrella because there's a chance of showers, maybe even a rumble of thunder.
Looking ahead to Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, expect more of the same with some showers, occasional thunderstorms, and winds kicking up to around 5 to 10 knots. Keep an eye out for any thunderstorms, as they can stir up some higher winds and waves.
