Story Transcript:

Id: Pagi itu cerah sekali.
En: That morning was very bright.

En: The sun was shining on every corner of the bustling traditional market with sellers and buyers coming and going to find their needs.

Id: Budi, seorang pria paruh baya dengan baju kemeja kotak-kotak, tengah asyik memilih-milih sayuran segar untuk masak malam nanti.
En: Budi, a middle-aged man in a checkered shirt, was busy selecting fresh vegetables to cook for dinner tonight.

En: While choosing the vegetables, Budi remembered his wife who usually accompanied him to shop but was sick with the flu that day and had to rest at home.

Id: Dia ingin sekali membelikan Anita, sang istri, sayur favoritnya untuk membuat sup ayam yang hangat.
En: He really wanted to buy Anita, his wife, her favorite vegetables to make warm chicken soup.

Id: Di sisi lain pasar, Anita, seorang wanita muda yang kebetulan memakai baju warna serupa dengan yang dipakai istri Budi, sedang merundingkan harga tomat dengan salah satu pedagang.
En: On the other side of the market, Anita, a young woman who happened to be wearing a similar colored dress to Budi's wife, was negotiating the price of tomatoes with one of the traders.

En: With her hair braided and a shopping basket on her arm, Anita looked like someone who cared about details.

En: Santoso, a friendly fruit seller, always observed what was happening in the market.

En: From a distance, he saw Budi leaving the vegetable stall and walking towards a figure he thought was his wife.

Id: "Anita, lihat ini!
En: "Anita, look at this!

En: The spinach is so fresh, it will be delicious for the soup later," exclaimed Budi as he patted the shoulder of Anita, who was not his wife, from behind.

En: Anita, startled, turned around and saw a stranger who seemed so sure to recognize her.

Id: Wajah Budi memerah, dia baru sadar bahwa wanita di depannya bukanlah Anita, istrinya.
En: Budi's face turned red, realizing that the woman in front of him was not Anita, his wife.

Id: "Oh, maaf sekali, Saya kira Anda istr.
En: "Oh, I'm so sorry, I thought you were my wif...uh, no," Budi stammered, trying to maintain a calm expression.

Id: eh, bukan," Budi menggagap mencoba memasang wajah tenang.
En: Anita chuckled at Budi's embarrassed explanation.

Id: Anita terkekeh mendengar penjelasan Budi yang tersipu-sipu.
En: "It's okay, Sir.

Id: "Tidak apa-apa, Pak.
En: It's really busy this morning, people can make mistakes with faces," said Anita still smiling.

En: Santoso, who witnessed the incident, couldn't help but laugh.

En: Loudly, he said, "Mr. Budi, your wife is sick at home with the flu.

Id: Dengan keras, ia berkata, "Pak Budi, istrimu di rumah sakit flu, kalau sampai bawa pulang wanita lain, bisa-bisa dimarahi!
En: If you bring another woman home, you might get scolded!"

En: The market atmosphere, previously filled with bargaining voices, was now filled with laughter from the sellers and the buyers, who were entertained by the funny incident.

En: Budi, initially embarrassed, finally joined in the laughter while scratching his head that wasn't itchy.

Id: "Iya, benar.
En: "Yes, that's right.

En: Anita at home will definitely laugh out loud hearing this story," said Budi as he recovered from his embarrassment.

En: After the incident, Budi continued his shopping while occasionally being greeted by other traders with light-hearted jokes.

En: Anita, who had finished shopping, bid farewell with a friendly smile to Budi.

En: When they returned home, Budi told everything to Anita, his true wife, who enthusiastically laughed as her husband became the star of the traditional market for a moment.

En: They laughed together, and that night, Budi's chicken soup felt warmer and more delicious because it was seasoned with the unforgettable laughter and joy from the traditional market.
