Emanuel "Manu" Ginobili, the most important Argentine basketball player of all times, has announced his retirement this week at the age of 41, after a 16-year stint with the San Antonio Spurs, with which he won 4 NBA championships.

For his fellow Argentines, his greatest moment was leading the National Team to winning its first -and so far only- gold medal at the Athens 2004 Olympics.

On this installment of RAE's feature "Ten Argentinians That Impressed The World", we bring you the story of the man born in Bahia Blanca, whose actions in and out of the court have led many to calling him "the greatest Argentine sportsperson ever".
