Hey there, beachgoers! It's time for your Maine surf zone forecast brought to you by the National Weather Service in Gray, Maine. Let's dive into the waves and see what's coming your way.

Starting off in Coastal Rockingham, including Portsmouth and Hampton, today you can expect mostly cloudy skies clearing up to sunshine by 11 AM. Don't forget your sunscreen with the UV index high! Temperatures will be in the lower 80s with west winds at 5 to 10 miles per hour. Surf height around 2 feet, so grab your board and hit the waves. Just watch out for those low rip currents.

Looking ahead to Friday, it's all about the sun and even lower surf around 1 foot in the afternoon. Perfect for a chill day at the beach. Keep an eye out for tides at Hampton Beach - high at 7.4 feet at 10:28 AM and low at 1.3 feet at 4:30 PM.

Over in Coastal York, including Old Orchard and Wells, today will also see some patchy fog and a chance of showers. Surf height around 3 feet, so get ready for some decent waves. Saturday is looking sunny with a similar surf height, great for catching some rays and waves.

For those hitting Higgins and Crescent beaches in Coastal Cumberland, expect mostly sunny skies after some morning fog and a chance of showers. Surf height around 3 feet today, but dropping to 1 foot on Saturday. Might be a good day for beginners to practice their surfing skills!

And for you beach bums at Reid State Park and Popham in Sagadahoc, there's a chance of showers today and surf around 3 feet. Saturday will bring sun and milder surf heights, perfect for a relaxing day by the ocean.

Lastly, in Lincoln at Pemaquid Beach, there's a similar forecast with a chance of showers today and surf height between 3 to 4 feet. Friday onwards, get ready for sunny days and surf heights around 3 to 4 feet. Surf's up!

Remember, always keep an eye out for rip currents, especially near structures, and have a flotation device with you in the water. Stay safe and enjoy the waves, surfers!
