There is a "growing" movement out of California to plant school forests. Having outdoor classrooms and surrounding children with nature is not a new idea, but this is a modern way to address the current problem of hardscaped asphalt schoolyards and to improve health and well-being along with behavior patterns in our youth. I'll cite some current research and emerging trends that can improve our children and communities.
