Da: Lars er en fyr fra København.
En: Lars is a guy from Copenhagen.

En: He lives in the old town.

En: Close to the harbor, where ships sail and seagulls scream.

Da: Hver dag går han på pub.
En: Every day he goes to the pub.

En: He loves talking to people there.

Da: En dag, Lars ønskede noget andet.
En: One day, Lars wanted something different.

Da: Han ønskede at prøve noget nyt.
En: He wanted to try something new.

En: He went to a Swedish restaurant.

En: Here he ate a delicious Swedish dish and enjoyed a good Swedish smoked beer.

En: When Lars returned to his favorite pub, he felt happy and energized.

Da: Han sagde hej til alle, men noget var galt.
En: He said hello to everyone, but something was wrong.

Da: Ordene kom ud forkert.
En: The words came out wrong.

En: It didn't sound like Danish, it sounded like Swedish.

Da: Folk kiggede mærkeligt på ham.
En: People looked at him strangely.

Da: De begyndte at grine.
En: They began to laugh.

Da: Alle på pubben grinte af Lars.
En: Everyone in the pub laughed at Lars.

Da: Det var både pinligt og sjovt.
En: It was both embarrassing and funny.

Da: Lars begyndte selv at grine.
En: Lars started laughing too.

Da: Han var glad for at gøre folk glade.
En: He was happy to make people happy.

Da: Da natten faldt på, tog Lars hjem.
En: As night fell, Lars went home.

En: He felt sad, but also relieved.

Da: Han havde lært noget vigtigt.
En: He had learned something important.

Da: Det er okay at være anderledes.
En: It's okay to be different.

En: People may laugh, but it doesn't mean they're laughing at you.

Da: Den næste dag gik Lars igen på pubben.
En: The next day, Lars went to the pub again.

Da: Alle var glade for at se ham.
En: Everyone was happy to see him.

Da: Nogle grinede igen.
En: Some laughed again.

Da: Lars trak på skuldrene og smilede.
En: Lars shrugged and smiled.

Da: Han bestilte en øl.
En: He ordered a beer.

En: But this time, he ordered it in Danish.

En: Even though Lars spoke Swedish by mistake, his experience was funny.

En: The people at the pub laughed, but it wasn't meant to be mean.

En: Lars learned that it's okay to make mistakes and still be happy.

En: And that's what makes life in Copenhagen so wonderful.
