show moreI stood inside the sacred circle last night viewing the shadows created by a three quarter moon. I’d never been that far inside the woods so late—fear controlled my interest. I was there to say so long to a broadcasting friend—our trails had crossed several times. His medium, pictures and my background…sound… Yet, I was willing to grow. I studied his actions without vowing to become. I chose to listen, a calm approach, a relaxed way of asking the true professional. Legends are those who touch a million lives—hero’s come along when you least expect. Friends don’t have to be buddies—friends tend to argue then make up. One day, your friend, legend hero…dies…and I’m left standing in the sacred circle, eyes filled with tears wondering how such a friend got behind the walls and into my heart? Why him and nobody else?
