Hey there surfers and beachgoers! Ready to catch some waves and soak up the sun? Let's dive into the surf zone forecast for the beautiful Southern California coast!
Starting off with Malibu Coast and Los Angeles County Beaches, we've got a moderate rip current risk today. The surf height is expected to be between 2 to 4 feet with a mix of south and west swells rolling in. Watch out for tides reaching 5.7 feet high later in the day!
Moving on to Ventura County Beaches, we're looking at a similar moderate rip current risk today with surf heights ranging from 2 to 4 feet. The water temperature here will be slightly cooler, around 60 to 64 degrees. So grab your wetsuits and get ready to paddle out!
Heading up to Santa Barbara County, the southwestern and southeastern coasts will have a low rip current risk today. Surf heights will be around 1 to 3 feet, perfect for those looking for a more mellow session. Just be aware of a west swell coming through.
Lastly, for San Luis Obispo County and Santa Barbara's Central Coast Beaches, we're expecting surf heights between 3 to 6 feet today. The water temperature will be cooler here, around 53 to 55 degrees. Keep an eye out for mixed south and west swells hitting the shores.
Remember to always stay safe in the water and keep an eye out for each other. Have a blast out there and enjoy the waves!
