Asalamu alaykum the question about angels reminded me of a question i have. Going back to the first few lessons this Ramadan. "Ard" means Earth (the whole planet) but also earth (the land)... So is there anything from Quran and sunnah that says the whole planet was covered in Noah's flood? Or is it that the mention of flooding over the "ard" could potentially mean the globe or the land/area Noah was sent to? Does the idea that the flooded "ard" means the globe come from Islam? Or is it one of the Israeliyyat?
