Tonight our very special guest is Wade lightheart, someone I have been great friends with for close to 40 years. Wade starts off by talking to us about his memories from when he used to play hockey and what it was that motivated him to keep on playing. Wade also tells us some of the valuable lessons he learned from playing hockey such as it's the work you put in behind the scene that makes a massive difference. Wade talks about aggressive sports and how young men need those sports to help contain their aggression. Wade wanted to get stronger for his hockey and thanks to Arnold Schwarzenegger he started bodybuilding. Wade went on to win his first competition 10 years after
he started, that competition was Mr. New Brunswick and after that, he went on to the Canadian championship. Wade tells us that his ego got in his way and at first he wouldn't get a coach, later on, he discovered that a coach sooner in his career could have helped him, Wade never forgot that lesson. Then we get into something named the Dubin inquiry and Wade gives us his opinion on what happened and how everything went down with insight into the situation. Wade realized that he was going to have to abuse drugs in order to be successful and he didn't want to do that so he got off all the drugs and became clean. That's wonderful, but Wade had lost his identity and fell into an emotional letdown and fell a long way. Got himself back on track after a time and came back as a natural bodybuilder and was very successful once again, amazing. All drug-free and total vegan, something everyone told him was impossible to do and win, but Wade did. We also find out about Wade's company BiOptimizers and what it is that they do to help others reach their goals, link below. Wade tells some wonderful stories and has a deep insight into what one needs to do in order to be successful. Very deep but important knowledge that may help others. Also, Wade has written a few books that one may want to consider reading, Staying Alive in a Toxic World and The Wealthy Backpacker. We were on a hard stop for this interview and sadly we ran out of time and didn't even come close to asking all the questions we wanted but hopefully there will be a next time. Stay motivated everyone.
