Lv: Karstā jūlija dienā Ievas un Artūra ceļi krustojās uz augstās platformas virs Gaujas upes.
En: On a hot July day, the paths of Ieva and Artūrs crossed on a high platform above the Gauja River.

Lv: Apkārt bija sulīgi zaļi meži, un saules stari izgaismoja visu ainavu zeltainā nokrāsā.
En: Surrounding them were lush green forests, and the sun's rays illuminated the entire landscape with a golden hue.

Lv: Dzirdēja tikai upes šalkas un Ievas paātrināto sirdspukstu skaņu.
En: Only the sound of the river and the rapid beating of Ieva's heart could be heard.

Lv: Ieva stāvēja maliņā, viņas sirds dauzījās kā traks.
