#1 - On October 1, 2017, Stephen Paddock opened fire on a crowd of people attending the Route 91 Harvest music festival in Las Vegas, Nevada. From his suite in the Mandalay Bay hotel, he fired more than 1,000 rounds into the crowd. The mass shooting left 60 people dead and injured hundreds more. The incident became the deadliest mass shooting in modern U.S. history.About an hour after the massacre began, Paddock was found dead inside his suite from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
