In 2014, HAL Laboratory developed the action-platform game Kirby Triple Deluxe, which Nintendo released for the Nintendo 3DS. It is the tenth major installment in the Kirby series. The game was first released in Japan on January 11, 2014, and then on May 2, 2014, in North America; on May 16, 2014, in Europe; and on May 17, 2014, in Australia. Kirby must journey through six distinct worlds to save King Dedede from Taranza; this journey is repeated throughout the game.
