"There is a monster on the loose in the city of Atlanta."

On the evening of 27 July 2021, 40-year-old Katie Janness set off on a walk with her dog, Bowie. As a bartender, Katie often kept odd hours, but had no reason to feel unsafe in her neighborhood of Midtown Atlanta, where she had lived for approximately 15 years.

After Katie failed to make it home, however, her partner Emma set off to find her, using GPS to track Katie's cell phone to nearby Piedmont Park. There, near the 10th Street entrance, Emma was able to make out a distorted shape just through the park gates. What followed is the thing nightmares are made of...
