Born and raised in Nassau Bahamas, Kamela Forbes has had a successful career as a professional model for the past 15 years. Kamela kicked started her career on a high in 2001 on a tour representing the Ebony Fashion Fair across America, Canada, and The Bahamas, afterwich she moved to Los Angeles where she appeared in campaigns for Motorola, Mitsubishi and NYX Cosmetics. Her success in LA lead her to New York where she continued blazing a path and worked with numerous acclaimed designers such as Marc Jacobs and J. Mendel, was featured in various magazines including Essence, Ebony, Cosmopolitan, and Brides, and most notably has shot campaigns for L’Oreal and Tiffany & Co. Kamela has also worked internationally in Europe and South Africa.
