show moreJoe played several roles in this story which goes back to when the French car company Renault partnered with AMC, lending AMC operating capital and eventually acquiring a major interest in the company.
After the assassination of Renault’s chairman Georges Besse, Renault sold AMC to Chrysler.
Joe’s first job out of college was with the Ford Motor Company where he held various sales, marketing, and financial positions.
In the 1990’s Joe and his wife Patty, came to Tulsa to divest Dollar Thrifty from Chrysler. He became CEO of Dollar Thrifty Automotive group after Chrysler sold the rental car company, retiring in 2003.
