Another fight weekend is in the books that saw an upset for the IBF Cruiserweight title in Australia by Jai Opetaia and another KO for British top WBO heavyweight contender Joe Joyce. And, we're ready to recap it all on the latest "Fight Freaks Unite Recap" podcast.

Host T.J. Rives is back with Dan Rafael insider for BigFightWeekend.com are back to go over it all.

First, they discuss Opetaia's upset of Mairis Briedis to win the IBF's cruiserweight belt by dramatic decision. This, as Opetaia controlled the action, scoring repeatedly, but had to overcome a badly fractured jaw to survive and wi. Will there be a rematch with Briedis next or will Opetaia heal up and fight someone else?

Then, the guys turn to Joyce disposing, expectedly, of veteran Christian Hammer in just four rounds in London Saturday. How much credit do we give Joyce or blame Hammer for being out of shape, etc.? Dan has his thoughts and insight. Also, Joyce will apparently also be back in the ring as soon as, September. So, whom might be his next opponent?

Finally, the guys go over some weekend news including the upcoming Mikaela Mayer unified jr. lightweight bout with Alycia Baumgartner will now be in September as part of the already announced Claressa Shields- Savannah Marshall world middleweight title fight.

And, the WBC says they want Jose Ramirez and Jose Zepeda to fight for their vacant 130 lb. title coming later this year. Dan has more on that, too.
