Dr. J Burns is an associate licensed counselor who specializes in treating underserved populations. Born and raised in Birmingham, AL, she graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2016 with a bachelor’s in sociology and child development, the University of Alabama in 2019 with a master’s in rehabilitation counseling, and Arizona State University in 2022 with a doctorate in Behavioral Health Management. With nearly ten years of experience, Dr. J Burns enjoys educating, facilitating, and supporting individuals on their journey in finding themselves. Along with co-hosting her podcast, Medicine for the Melanated and Misguided, she is now available for speaking engagements.
