Sermon Title: “I’m Angry Right Now”
Sermon Series: LORD, Help Me
James 1:19-21 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry, (20) because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires. (21) Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly accept the word planted in you, which can save you.

1. BECOME SLOW TO ANGER
James 1:19 My dear brothers and sisters, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to
listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry,
Proverbs 14:29 Whoever is patient has great understanding, but one who is quick-tempered displays folly.
2. BECAUSE ANGER DOES NOT PRODUCE RIGHTEOUSNESS
James 1:20 because human anger does not produce the righteousness that God desires.
3. YOU WILL NEED TO CUT IT OUT BY THE ROOTS
James 1:21 Therefore, get rid of all moral filth and the evil that is so prevalent and humbly
accept the word planted in you, which can save you.
Ephesians 4:26-27 “In your anger do not sin”: Do not let the sun go down while you are
still angry, (27) and do not give the devil a foothold.
Ephesians 4:31-32 Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along
with every form of malice. (32) Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving
each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.
