show moreWow! It happened! After six months of quarantine and social distancing, I finally made it back to lecturing. It was so different! The energy, the motivation, inspiration and drive to help others locate their creative success was very much on fire. Different in the way of being up there and seeing so much space in between each person. Different in the way of how the acoustics had changed. Different in the way of preparing creative minds for a business world that seems to be nonexistent in July 2020. On this podcast episode we look directly into the eye of a purpose driven question, “Is the path in plain sight?” Rather than utilizing the strength of acceptance, are we electing to reinvent? To chase what we assume. To point out our view without truly recognizing that the right path is in front of us. There’s a sentence that was overused during the opening chapters of this pandemic, “This too shall pass.” I’m not hearing it anymore. Because it’s not passing! The human refuses to stop writing what it thinks should be the rules. We are getting in the way of other people’s success and have no problem with the outcome. Seriously? I totally grip the idea of how most of us discovered our inner strengths at the birth of Covid-19 but to physically keep others from getting the opportunity to go back to work or school? I’m not gonna turn this into a statement to wear a mask. But we did during the lecture yesterday. No air conditioning. 95 degrees. Heating index at 103. We wore the mask. Why? Because we all agreed to take care of each other. To be present in our daily dose of awareness. If you don’t have Covid you should feel blessed. I now know three people who’ve been diagnosed and the fear I hear in their voices literally kills my soul. I asked them to write the story. To create lessons to teach. I invited them to become the voice. Why? Because those of us who don’t have Covid aren’t getting the message through. The goal is to endlessly ask about making the transition of turning the experience into a message for the wild kingdom of humans. It haunted me badly yesterday when North Carolina went over the 100,000 mark on people having the virus. Then they followed it with, “We’re just getting started.” I ask again, “Is the path in plain sight?” Why are we trying to write the rules? Here’s how I was personally affected by yesterday’s first time lecture in six months. Personally the experience was truly a blessing from the universe and the connection with other creative minds is the most incredible experience. This morning. I’ve cancelled everything I had planned outside my house. I’m uncertain with other people’s decisions and today the subconscious needs to repair. Think about that as you prepare to go back to work. How will being back affect and infect you? Being truthful with yourself without creating a false face front. I am so proud of the frontline warriors and all others that weren’t told there was no timeout in their job. Report to work at all costs. What you face daily must be ripping your soul or you’ve become extremely numb. Tell the story. Be the leader. Teach America what to expect when workers are allowed to return to the public. I didn’t have anyone to prepare me for the day after. Go into your next journey knowing how much it will get into your head in the days that follow.
