In December 2022, I was at my heaviest and unhealthiest weight I'd ever been at. At least 5 or 6 times in my adult life I had lost 20-30 pounds, only to put it back on. I wanted to do it different this time. I wanted to build a lifestyle I could consistently stick with for the rest of my life. So I dropped the weight again, and lost 30 pounds. Why are we talking about this on a podcast aimed at dads? Because if you're a father or husband, you have a family that's counting on you to be your best. A wife that wants her husband around for the long haul. Kids that want to wrestle with their dad. And friends, employees, coworkers, and a community that's counting on you. You can't bring your best if you aren't at your best. Being physically fit as a dad isn't for vanity; it allows us to perform at our maximum output for a longer duration. So let's talk about it.
Kicks and Minivans is the podcast for dads... especially the ones who love sneakers. K&M exists to help men win in marriage and parenting. Tune in for a new full-length episode every Thursday. Follow us on Instagram @kicksandminivans to stay up to date on all things K&M.
