She married her childhood sweetheart after he completed a 10-year prison sentence. Although she was not behind bars herself, she still became a prisoner mentally. As a woman dealing with a man with a criminal background, she has faced many obstacles rooted in misconceptions, judgments, and stereotypes. As a direct result, she even battled depression and anxiety. Although she has conquered depression, she still has moments… but to God be the glory! Learning how to meditate and talk to the Lord has allowed her to see that this journey was not only about her but for other women like her to overcome as well.
