Healthcare workers get assaulted frequently and it was mentioned that a survey was done that showed 70-80% of nurses alone get assaulted by patients, patients' families, and even their friends.
Tracy spoke about the incident reports and how important they are to get data. Doing an incident report after being assaulted or threatened is a valuable tool. Having electronic charts make it easier to write incident reports. Having incident reports and documenting the threat and assault will only help to stop the violence.
