October is National Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Domestic violence is the third leading cause of homelessness among families, according to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Even worse... In 2 out of 3 female homicide cases, females are killed by a family member or intimate partner. It's a serious issue, and you know what? Most domestic violence incidents are never reported. You may even know someone that might be a victim of DV and you may benefit from learning to recognize the signs.
