Kara Platoni teaches reporting and narrative writing at UC Berkeley’s Graduate School of Journalism. She won the American Association for the Advancement of Science’s Journalism Award and the Evert Clark/Seth Payne Award for Young Science Journalists. Kara’s new book is We Have the Technology: How Biohackers, Foodies, Physicians and Scientists are Transforming Human Perception, One Sense at a Time.
She was in the Northwest to speak at Town Hall Seattle, presented by Town Hall and Elliott Bay Book Company, as part of the Civics series.
