They left with a recommendation to end the pregnancy. Their unborn son's diagnosis of a likely fatal birth defect (Congenital Diaghramatic Hernia) magnified their fears as first-time parents and forced them to examine their closely held beliefs. They go beyond their own personal story and dive into foundational principles and tools to support human potential."
Moira co-founded Activ8 with her husband, Erik, to support healthy and high performing communities. They believe that untapped potential lives in all of us and often it is current limiting beliefs and fears that get in the way of what's possible individually and collectively. Together they bring a rich mix of knowledge and experience to support their clients to break through belief barriers, see new possibilities and align for collective impact. Their experience with their unborn son's diagnosis brought those tools alive in their own lives which they now speak and write about. Moira spent the early part of her career in academia. Her academic research and experience became a launch pad to support clients as they strive for new levels of wellbeing and performance in times of uncertainty. Moira lives in St. Paul, MN with her husband, young son, and lab and enjoys doing outdoor activities with her family in all four seasons.
