Ian gives listeners a chance to go to Opening Day with a pair of his own tickets. In some ways football has become America's modern-day passtime, and soccer hasa broader appeal outside of the US, but if you're a sports fan you're almost certainly a baseball fan. The game has expanded greatly into Central and South America, Asia, and even into Europe. The first sport most kids play is baseball. The first game most kids attend is baseball. Opening Day captures something that no other sport can. On Something Good, Kevin's wife leaves him a Happpy Opening Day note. She's not a huge baseball fan, but she understands what today means to him. We should all be so lucky to find someoen who appreciates our passions.
