The NCAA Tournament begins tonight (or Thursday depending on your point-of-view). It's one of those events that everyone, whether they love college basketball and follow it all season long or not, can get excited about, but there's other non-tournament news to talk about as well for fans of Washington basketball. The UCLA coaching job is open. Is there a chance Mike Hopkins picks up and heads to Southern California? We're just a little over 12 hours away from meaningful baseball as the M's take on the A's in Japan. It's weird that it's already Opening Day, it's even weirder that the game is on at 2:30 am. Gary Parrish joins us every week to talk college basketball, and there's no bigger week in the game than this one. Gary discusses the committee's decision making, the team with the best shot at making an unexpected run, how are local teams will do, and his thoughts on Mike Hopkins and UCLA. On Something Good, Jeff Jones, coach of Old Dominion is battling prostate cancer for the second time, bringing awareness to the disease while continuing to push forward with a great attitude. If you're looking for a team with a feel-good story attached, Old Dominion might be your team. Kevin highlights a man who drove a total of 400 miles out of his way to help a couple whose car broke down as they were on their way to see a dying relative.
