Sk: Na kraji malej slovenskej dedinky s názvom Dubovica sa rozprestieral malý, ale veľmi živý jarmok.
En: At the edge of a small Slovenian village called Dubovica, there spread a small but lively fair.

Sk: Ľudia z dediny aj zo širokého okolia sa tu schádzali, aby predali svoje ručné práce, ovocie zo svojich záhrad a zvieratá z farmy.
En: People from the village and from the surrounding area gathered here to sell their handicrafts, fruit from their gardens, and animals from the farm.

Sk: Medzi stánkami s koloritnými výrobkami a vôňami domácej kuchyne sa prechádzal Lukáš s jeho sestrou Janou a kamarátkou Evou.
En: Among the stalls with colorful products and the smells of homemade cuisine, Lukáš walked around with his sister Jana and their friend Eva.

Sk: Lukáš bol známy svojím šibalským úsmevom a nekonečnými nápadmi na vtipy.
En: Lukáš was known for his mischievous smile and endless ideas for jokes.

Sk: Tentoraz si však jeho šibalstvo zvolilo naozaj nezvyčajnú podobu.

Sk: Kým si Eva s Janou prezerali ručne maľované keramické vázy, Lukáš je len tak od nechtiac narazil do klietky plnej kohútov, ktoré mali byť hlavnými hviezdami tradičných kohútích zápasov.
En: While Eva and Jana were admiring hand-painted ceramic vases, Lukáš accidentally bumped into a cage full of roosters, which were supposed to be the main stars of traditional cockfights.

Sk: Klietka sa prevrátila a všetky kohúty s radosťou využili túto nečakanú slobodu.
En: The cage toppled over, and all the roosters joyfully seized this unexpected freedom.

Sk: Začali uťahovať všelikam po jarmoku, pričom sa všetky zviera a ľudia museli z cesty uhýbať.
En: They started pulling in all directions at the fair, causing everyone, both animals and people, to get out of their way.

Sk: Lukášov výbuch smiechu zastal, keď si uvedomil, čo zavinil.
En: Lukáš's burst of laughter stopped when he realized what he had caused.

Sk: Eva a Jana sa tiež prestali smiať a pohľadom plným rozhodnutia naňho naznačili, že táto situácia potrebuje rýchle riešenie.

Sk: Spoločne, s pomocou ostatných dedinčanov, sa pustili do naháňania kohútov.

Sk: Na konci dňa si Lukáš, Eva a Jana sadli na lavičku, chutnali tradičnú bryndzové halušky a s úsmevom spomínali na svoje dnešné dobrodružstvo.
En: At the end of the day, Lukáš, Eva, and Jana sat on a bench, tasted traditional bryndzové halušky, and smiled as they reminisced about their adventure.

Sk: Dedinka Dubovica bola zasa o niečo súrodenejšia, pretože spoločné zážitky ľudí spájajú a z jedného malého šibalstva sa zrodilo niečo, čo spevnilo puto medzi jej obyvateľmi.
En: The village of Dubovica was once again a bit more united, because the shared experiences of people bring them together, and from one little mischief, something emerged that strengthened the bond among its inhabitants.
