On March 5th, 2023, officers in Ohio were dispatched following a report of a reckless driver operating a black Nissan Altima, observed driving erratically and heading northbound on the roadway. The suspect was reported to have veered off-road at one point near a trailer park before regaining course. The sergeant on the scene intercepted the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The female driver of the vehicle appeared intoxicated, indicated by her slurred speech and an odor of alcoholic beverage emanating from her & inside the vehicle. While speaking with officers, the suspect provided officers a badge, stating, “I was a cop too,” before exiting the vehicle. The suspect told the officers to arrest her, stating, "Just an arrest me; you're going to do it anyways." As the officer began Standardized Field Sobriety Tests (SFSTs), the suspect refused to continue the tests. When questioned further, she was reluctant to disclose the amount of alcohol consumed. Officers arrested the suspect for suspected OVI and advised her of her Miranda Rights. While searching the vehicle, an officer located several open cans of White Claw in the center console. The suspect refused to provide a breath sample and was transported to the police station. Officers issued the suspect a BMV 2255 form as she refused to provide a breath sample, suspending her driver's license. The suspect was charged with Operating a Vehicle under the Influence of Alcohol (OVI) and Open Container in a Motor Vehicle While in Transit. ** Disclaimer: We were unable to verify the authenticity of her claims of being a cop. **
