Another major intersection in College Station will be studied for future improvements.
That's after the city council on Monday night approved a feasibility study to build an interchange at Fitch and Wellborn.
John Nichols was the only councilmember to talk about about the nearly $2 million dollar expense.
Assistant public works director Emily Fisher said about half the expense is about the interchange, and the rest is look into expanding Wellborn Road south of Fitch...as requested by the Texas Department of Transportation.
The proposed interchange would extend Fitch to the west over the railroad tracks and bend to the northwest towards Rock Prairie Road.
