Mere humans (genealogy of Moses and Aaron (Exodus 6:14-30)
When reading the Bible, we can fall into the trap of thinking of people like Aaron and Moses as biblical “heroes.” This section of scripture is inserted to make it clear to the readers that Moses and Aaron weren’t heroes they were just men because there is only one hero in the Bible, God. God’s choosing of Moses had nothing to do with natural ability or bloodline. His calling and election were a gift of grace and not based on the rights and privileges of birth or any innate talent or ability on his part.
