The Phoenician's were a people ahead of their time. We have them to thank for giving us the alphabet and mastery over the seas. But there is more that survives from their great legacy. In fragments and pieces, the oldest known history of the ancient world was  written by one of their sons. It's tattered pieces are all that remains of the pre-Homeric era... the Age of Heroes.
