Leslie is joined by Terry O'Neill, the President of the National Organization of Women (NOW), and Webster Phillips, a senior legislative representative for the National Committee to Preserve Social Security and Medicare.

The three of them spoke about another issue facing women; equal pay for equal work. For full-time, year-round workers, women are paid on average only 77 percent of what men are paid; for women of color, the gap is significantly wider.

As Webster points out, this not only effects their day to day income, but also their investment in retirement.

These wage gaps stubbornly remain despite the passage of the Equal Pay Act in 1963, the Lily Ledbetter Fair Pay Act of 2009, and a variety of other legislation prohibiting employment discrimination.

Webster and Terry detail what they hope to see changed in the future and what their efforts have been in solving this problem.
