We went from knowing nothing about Ubisoft's open-world Star Wars game to getting a story and gameplay reveal trailer in 2 days, take notes Eclipse and KOTOR Remake. The story offers an exciting and unique premise, following Kay Vess as she tries to make her way in the galaxy through the criminal underworld during the Galactic Civil War. The gameplay side promises a lot, seamless travel from speeder bike chases to interiors to being able to exit the atmosphere and enter hyperspace, all in one go. Can Ubisoft really deliver on this promise? Its track record of buggy and shallow open worlds has me cautious. But, there is a lot of potential here in player choice, reputation systems, and character driven storytelling. We wont know until 2024 but hopefully Ubisoft takes their time and breaks the mold they have made for themselves.
