Australia has no shortage of genuine animals that seem too weird to exist, and the Native tribes here have a rich culture with many stories, including legends of frightening monsters and powerful spirits. Today, we will be focusing on one of these monsters. According to legend, in the waters of Australia, there dwells a man-eating monster. Its howl has been heard by locals and carried through the night air, making people terrified to go near the water. At night, it is said the creature is most active, prowling and hunting for its' next victim. So is this famous tale from Australia just a legend? A cautionary tale? Or could it be real? This is the story of the Bunyip.
