Dive into the painting, "Suburbs of Berlin 1912" and experience the vision and interpretation of a cityscape in Berlin, Germany by Expressionist painter Ernst Ludwig Kirchner.
I want to acknowledge two authors who provided valuable resources for the preparation of this episode: Eric Zafron and Paul Paret ("Surrealism and Modernism from the Collection of the Wadsworth Atheneum Museum of Art") and a wonderful book that gives an excellent overview of Modernism: Susie Hodge, "The Short Story of Modern Art."
