Hello Randomers and Randomites.
To use the standard Hollywood defense in regards to bad continuity, time traveling wizards! Now that that's out of the way, we stumbled our way to a flea market and ran across three of the Carnival All-Stars! We're joined by Steve of The Tombstone Hands, Greg of many Rochester bands and Patrick of D&D and MuCCC/DVC fame. So what in the world do you talk about at a flea market? How about the weird things people want to get rid of. A lot of times you run across old movies that you wonder why people bought in the first place, so that's where we went. We're talking some really strange stuff. Old serials, Three Stooges, martial arts movies and the rash of sci-fi movies the world has seen related to the not-so-friendly people of Germany during the Second World War. Definitely an unusual time, but there's lots of stuff to make you laugh.
Keep a close eye out for all of our friends and what they're up to. Greg is playing with several bands locally, including The Brian Lindsay Band and Anonymous Willpower, so stay tuned to their social media for news about what's going on. He'll be playing at the Brighton Farmers Market on Sunday, November 10th if you're near there so hit that up. Also, check out Steve's radio show "Rock & Roll Rumble" every Saturday from 1:00 to 3:00 PM on WRFZ 106.3 FM or listen during those times at Rochester Free Radio.
Also, coming in December Patrick, among many other friends that you've listened to have a new show coming out called "Rouslana & Jelena: A Modern-Day Russian Revolution". Look for the links below for more information and stay tuned in the future for more news.
Stay tuned after the podcast for some music from another new friend of The Carnival, the very talented Amy LaVere. With her permission, from her newest album "Painting Blue", we are proud to present "Painting Blue (On Everything)". Give her a listen and check her out and give her all the support that you can muster.
