show moreIn today’s conversation, we’re diving into the Bushido Code, the warrior principles that defined Samurai culture. Ben Durbin, a guest on Episode 35, introduced us to the connection between the Samurai and mindfulness. Exploring that more after our conversation with Ben, we came across the Bushido Code. Specifically, the Samurai warrior was called to live a life focused on eight virtues:
• Justice
• Courage
• Compassion/Mercy
• Respect
• Honesty/Integrity
• Honor
• Loyalty
• Self-Control
In this episode, we explore those virtues and talk about developing our own code of conduct, the guiding principles that define how we carry ourselves. We also talk about defining our non-negotiables, those things that we will hold fast to no matter what.
