Having a supportive partner in pregnancy is so important when you are giving birth for the first time, especially if you are giving birth to twins!Not only do you need another set of hands, but the emotional toll it takes to care for two little ones at the same time can become overwhelming. Add in a pandemic to make matters even more challenging, the situation goes from needing support, to it being absolutely crucial.This was the case for our guest on today’s episode. Sarah is a mother of twins and has been married to her incredibly supportive husband for 9 years. Their pregnancy journey was unique since they gave birth to twins in the thick of the pandemic.Sarah had a birth plan in place, and had planned on having a doula present during her pregnancy. However, due to the pandemic, everything went out the window, but with her willingness to not quit and her husband’s intuitive helping hand, she was able to make it through.In today’s episode, Sarah shares her story of her breastfeeding journey where information and support from health care providers was sparse, and she was left to figure it out on her own.
