BTW, I loved the introduction with the pattern of myths. Kurt Vonnegut noted similar basic patterns in all stories—including the Bible. It doesn't surprise me.

When Jesus talked about murder, he did not rail against capital punishment (nor the Mosaic or Noahide laws which supported it). Instead he focused on the least of the offenses, that being, calling someone a fool. It was THAT which endangered the fires of hell, he said. Why? Proverbs is full of such name calling. Jesus too! So what did he mean? And what is the "fire?"

So we go from conservative politics in church to woke politics. Different pans, same fire. But note that both camps tout "love" as their highest goal.
