Interviewing Senator Derek Kitchen was a really heart warming experience. To share such an intimate conversation with one of our leaders who is also a small business owner and how he is coping during this time of quarantine I think will be beyond comforting for our community to hear. Derek has taken the initiative in changing our community from Kitchen vs Hebert, which challenged Utah's constitutional ban on same-sex marriage and it was the first state to see success. To his policies in relation to women's rights that he has time and again brought to the legislative with a goal in mind of seeing success. We can also count of Derek for the protection of public lands, healthcare, education, affordable housing, support towards small business, homeless services, clean air transit, and marijuana legalization. Derek and I talk about the routines he has implemented in relation to Covid-19 and how he sees the impact it is having on our community and he is a resource to lean on. Please enjoy this episode featuring Derek Kitchen.
