DEVOTION
Based on Psalm 42
In life we all face times when our heart is downcast, and we wonder how God is working in our circumstances. We want Him to take away our distress, yet He seems so far away. Does this mean that He is? No-His Word says He will never leave us nor forsake us. The question, then, is, will we praise Him anyway? Yes, let us long for Him as the psalmist did, as a deer longs for streams of water-living water for the soul. In our longing, His hope can fill our hearts and sustain us through difficult times.

Tonight, as you step into the quiet and calm of your surroundings, let yourself relax and surrender to the caring arms of Christ. Believe and know that God is with you. He hears your prayers and is close to your heart.
A.C.T.S. REFLECTION
ADORATION:
Like a deer pants for water, your soul pants for God and can only be quenched by His eternal springs of life. Allow Him to cleanse you now and satisfy you as you lay your head down to rest, bringing you refreshment. Close your eyes as you worship Him for who He is.

CONFESSION:
Think of a difficult time when you lost hope in God, remembering how He brought you through. Ask for His forgiveness in your doubt and ask Him to remind you of all the good things He has done in your life.

THANKSGIVING:
Praise God for His faithfulness. Praise Him for the times He has delivered you and comforted you. Praise Him for refreshing your spirit and satisfying your soul with His love and His presence that never leaves you.

SUPPLICATION:
Dear Lord, when I feel hopeless, may I feel Your calming presence and be refreshed and renewed by You. Help me believe in Your truth, that You are with me, and that You care about the little and the big things in my life. May Your presence fill my room and linger as I sleep. I want to rest in Your love and protection for sweet, refreshing sleep. I praise You and give You glory. Amen.

PRAYER
“Show me your ways, Lord. Teach me your paths."”

Lord, I pray that You would show me the path of righteousness for Your name’s sake. Guide me and teach me the truth. May my life be an extraordinary offering to You. You have been faithful to show me mercy and steadfast love through salvation, and now I pray You would grant me guidance so I can live a fulfilling life for Your glory. Reveal Your will for my life in the stillness of the night. Protect my mind from distraction and set me on a course toward Your Kingdom. My eyes are on You, Lord. Pave the path of peace before me. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
