Josie Taoi, a Sydney hooper of Fijian descent is the founder of a grassroots program that’s paying it forward - Promote The GOAT “PTG”.

Sharing her story of faith and personal conviction in founding PTG she tells us how using and promoting basketball to not only showcase the diversity, can also create teachable moments in her hoops community program to help kids become happier, healthier and more confident.

Josie founded PTG in 2019 and has only recently began to include herself in their social media ‘hype’ campaigns alongside many of the young talented hoopers she coaches. A female trailblazer working tirelessly behind the scenes Josie understands by sharing her story others will understand why Promote The GOAT is needed and how it impacts not only her community but the many others looking for a program like this.

She wants to support those young kids that were like her "…if only I had someone that said I believe in you if only I had someone that understood the pathways."
