In honor of what would have been her 120th birthday, I sat down with the channeled spirit of famed diarist, essayist, novelist, and writer of short stories and erotica, Anäis Nin. A finalist for the Neustadt International Prize for Literature in 1976, French-born American Anaîs is known for her personal journals and is widely hailed as one of the best writers of female erotica. She was a bigamist, with husbands in New York and California, and has had numerous affairs with people like psychoanalyst Otto Rank and writer Henry Miller.
